Old Man 03:19
Old Man (© 2011 Wayward Smith) Leapt into an open field of angry men and parts, Have you decided what to bring back to the start? It’s not forgotten but left behind to rot, Is that all that you have got? Feel like an escapee, but running from the things you haven’t got, You might as well take them because they’re all just dirty cops, Lucky you’re fit now, it’s not a time to trot, Keep a hold of what you’ve got. Oh, old man, old man, Oh, old man, old man, Old man Lost in the atmosphere of all your frozen words, Not even close to the hardest part, Have you forgotten who carved the open road, Run away to your fallen history. Oh, old man, old man, Oh, old man, old man, Oh, old man, old man, Oh, old man, old man, Old man I did not make you what you are, I did not make you, I did not make you what you are, I did not make you, I did not make you what you are, I did not make you, I did not make you what you are old man. Oh, old man, old man, Oh, old man, old man, Oh, old man, old man, Oh, old man, old man, Old man I did not make you what you are.

Keeping Close (© 2011 Wayward Smith) You will never be forgotten or left alone, I will never be the one to let you go, Just follow me, follow me, follow me, To get there, to get there. Too many conversations to let it go, Too many people now who know, Stuck following, following, following, This road, this road. I will be there, and I will keep it all, I won’t let you fall. Ooh. There’s far too many people out there, For you to argue that they don’t care, You’re perfect, perfect, perfect, You are there, you are there. Oh stop this simulation of your life, You’ll never be what you think is right, You know this, know this, know this, You are there, you are there. I will be there, and I will keep it all, I won’t let you fall. Ooh. I will be there, and I will keep it all, I won’t let you fall. Ooh. I will be there, and I will keep it all, I won’t let you fall. Ooh. Ooh, I won’t let you, no I won’t let you fall.

Here Is Me 04:14
Here is Me (© 2011 Wayward Smith) I could follow you into the darkest corner of my mind, Make you fall down, make you fall down, Break into the minds eye, you know I rule this here, Show you the way down, the whole way down. Now you know me I could be so foolish to let you survive, You see right through me, You’ll find a broken mask discarded at my side. Welcome to your nightmare, A place you can’t be free, List to me, you must listen to me, Lost and broken, don’t despair, Wait for me and I will set you free, I will set you free. Now you know me I could be so foolish to let you survive, You see right through me, You’ll find a broken mask discarded at my side. Now you know me I could be so foolish to let you survive, You see right through me, You’ll find a broken mask discarded at my side. Now you know me I could be so foolish to let you survive, You see right through me, You’ll find a broken mask discarded at my side. Now you know me I could be so foolish to let you survive, You see right through me, You’ll find a broken mask discarded at my side. Now you know me, See right through me, Now you know me

Anything Else (© 2011 Wayward Smith) Control, you want to own me, You want to show me what I’m waiting for, I know, I can’t believe you, Oh, where’s my respect for you? I’m not falling for your lies, You can say goodbye, To know you, to see you, to be you, oh I’m not falling for your lies, I’ve opened up my eyes, I know you and I see through you, oh. Facade, I know you’ve got one, Your face is a sore thumb, the finger I accuse Despise, you do not know them, You show them how little they’re worth to you I’m not falling for your lies, You can say goodbye, To know you, to see you, to be you, oh I’m not falling for your lies, I’ve opened up my eyes, I know you and I see through you, oh. I’m not falling, not falling for your lies I’m not falling, not falling for your lies I’m not falling, not falling for your lies, I’m not falling, no, I’m not falling I’m not falling for your lies, You can say goodbye, To know you, to see you, to be you, oh I’m not falling for your lies, I’ve opened up my eyes, I know you and I see through you, oh.

Why Not 04:31
Why Not (© Wayward Smith 2011) There’s only one place to go on this once way street, But there are no cops to see you, Back and forth let your freedom flow and they don’t know that you’re not legal, And you go around in circles and leave your mark on the ground, You go around in circles and leave your mark on the ground. You make them go away, Just because you’re tired, And you will make it there, And they will find you, They will find you, They will find you. What will happen when you get there someday? Will they accept you? Do they know what you’ve done, where you’ve been and What you remember out there, And these circles spin around once more, do you know them? These circles spin around once more, do you know them? You make them go away, Just because you’re tired, And you will make it there, And they will find you, They will find you, They will find you. Make them go away cause you’re tired, You will make it there, you’re a liar, They will find you. Make them go away cause you’re tired, You will make it there, you’re a liar, They will find you.

about

Brisbane based rock band Wayward Smith shows only a glimmer of its hard hitting rock shows on its self-titled debut EP. Formed in 2007 Wayward Smith has become a solid partnership enduring 5 years.

More recently Wayward Smith gained recognition from Australian band, Gyroscope, for their acoustic rendition of Some of The Places I Know (which you can catch on YouTube) and, on 3 April Wayward Smith will be supporting more Australian talent, For This Cause, on the Brisbane leg of their national tour at The Zoo, Fortitude Valley.

While gaining airplay on 4ZZZ and BayFM, Wayward Smith has been warming up on the side-lines of their first ever video clip. They will also be recording a live show at The Jubilee’s Apollo Room on 3 May.
